Food was excellent and still warm even though we were 30 minutes late to pick it up. Only issue was that the regular menu isn't available on their Soulful Saturdays (BBQ). But the BBQ is awesome and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!
We had the steak toast and bacon toast for breakfast. Both were great. Very relaxing atmosphere. Stopped in for dinner and the fried lasagna was excellent.
I am obsessed with this place. Best soul food around. I plan my first and third Saturdays of the month with Recharge Cafe in mind. I literally save my cheat days for those 2 days every month that way I don’t feel bad when I grab extra Mac and a banana pudding. I travel for work so I don’t get to make it in on the regular menu days but the one time I did I had the chicken alfredo and now when I order it at other restaurants I can never be satisfied. They certainly have set the bar for comfort food in Greater Cleveland. And although I go for the food…my family often follows me in for the vibes. My husband and son at one table playing Chess, my daughter in the corner reading one of the books, my other daughter forcing to me to purchase a canvas so she can paint, every one just relaxing and recharging from the week. And before the chess game is over, the book is done, or the painting is finished, our food is ready. Definitely a place to visit if you’re in town looking for some good eating.
My daughter and I had the Deep Fried Lasagna and Beyond Smash Burger. The food smelled amazing and tasted delicious!! The burger bun was perfectly toasted! Fantastic experience!
The food was okay. A little overpriced for what you got. The guy at the counter was really nice and accommodating but he seemed a little lost. I think because it's a new business this is bound to happen but I also think you should know your menu inside and out.
I hope they learn from their mistakes and improve. It's always nice to see businesses succeed. Especially independently owned ones. Right now as it is there's a long way to go.
