Very friendly atmosphere, we love this place. Excellent food, great service and pampered but not excessively. Good views of the wildlife out back.

Excellent from start to finish. Real dark wood paneling, tufted leather banquettes, white table cloths all made it feel like we were dining in our grandparent's era (1930's). We ordered drinks to match the time warp (Rob Roys) that we're expertly made with a lemon twist. Relish tray and cottage cheese were pleasant throwbacks to a bygone era. We had an appetizer of eggplant Napoleon, perfectly prepared from obviously fresh ingredients and served piping hot and crisp. Salads were crisp and fresh with a nice assortment of toppings (tomato, carrot, radish, onion, croutons) in just the right amounts. Beef Wellington was beautifully presented if slightly overcooked (medium well, not medium rare). Potato and vegetables were perfectly prepared. Fresh hot bread that we watched baking in the oven was a wonderful treat. It would have been a serious highlight in a lesser establishment. Overall, a memorable meal.
