The Woods Restaurant and Lounge

Cozy little place. Average Italian food, all the basics. Could amp up the seasoning though. Borderline bland. French onion soup was excellent. Great service!

Restaurant service good...but there were 10 of us.

Its a nice little place. The food , what we've gotten so far is pretty good. My friend and I usually get the stuffed hot peppers appetizer, delicious. Does have a kick, like it. The staff is very nice, friendly. They have a nice outside eating area. I wish they could make a nice, cozy one in the back, off street. Center Ridge busy, traffic. Its one of our favorite spots to get together, Happy Hour.

My wife and I like to support local places to week, and I was surprised we'd never checked this place out before. The interior is amazing if you like great woodwork. Extreme attention to detail. The upstairs where we sat was cozy and comfortable. You feel like you are in a well kept cabin; it really does have a "woodsy" feel.

The food was terrific and very reasonable. I had the Texas steak with Marsala sauce and mushrooms. I like medium well and they did it perfectly for my taste. Thoroughly enjoyed; we will definitely be eating here again sometime soon.

Been here several times, mostly for Wednesday half price pizza, but other things too. French onion soup is tasty, pizza is very good. Service has always been friendly and quick. Don't be confused about which door to go in, you can go into either (upstairs back or downstairs front).
Lots of neat stuff on the walls and interesting lighting and architecture. Quite dim, so if you have low light vision problems, might want to sit downstairs by the window and watch your step!!
