Kinda lame, but cool for a good kick it
The atmosphere at label 78 is everything & more. My girlfriend & I stop through last night & couldn’t have been more satisfied. The very hospitable staff catered to us & made sure we had a great experience. If you are looking for some of the best food in town - look no further! The SlickChicken Sandwich was absolutely divine - I would highly recommend it!
I’m giving four stars to encourage you, but honestly, I have not been in the establishment. Here’s why: as you pass by, you have no idea what type of place it is. Is it a place to relax and get a drink with grown folks, is it a dinner spot, or is there bar food only? China or paper plates? Sports bar or thug club? Is there soft music warbling in the background, or loud hip hop? (I know there’s loud music because I heard it it blaring as I drove past. Reconsider. That’s a residential neighborhood, not the Flats. You don’t want to lose out on local support.) Inconsistent pricing on drinks by bartenders comes from either not having a printed bar menu and/or an environment where employees know they can take advantage. There was a beautiful lounge in Harlem, New York where are used to live, and they had no business at all because like yours, they had tinted windows and no one knew what was up inside. This place was on a hopping corner where people were dying to eat, drink, and drop cash! They had a no jeans dress code. Meanwhile, you could go to the restaurant of a world-renowned chef across the street in shorts and a T-shirt. Some of those customers in jeans included fashion models, actors, athletes - you name it. This lounge I’m talking about lost out on all of them. It didn’t make business sense. These are just examples of ways people kill their businesses. I’m a business coach. I WANT YOU TO FLOURISH. There is a large contingent of middle-class and affluent black folks in Cleveland who will come to you if you make it clear it is their spot. Others will follow, but right now, you need clients that can pay you and keep your doors open. I wish you the best. I’ll come in for free and consult with you if you like because I’m tired of seeing good businesses in black neighborhoods close their doors when people all around it are dropping $50-$200 a month on hair, nails, and beauty supplies without batting an eyelash extension! I’m just sayin’! Good luck!!????????
Went on Saturday night. 10$ cover. Park across the street. A bit small. Nice DJ. Female bartender charges a extra 4$ on her drinks! The white guy charged regular price and was more consistent!
