I picked up some for a beach get together and everyone couldn't believe how good it was or that it came from a gas station. “This place taught me a valuable lesson in the various faces of loyalty. I was saddened by the previous restaurant closing considering it is a black owned business and it seemed they just disappeared one day. Well upon walking into the new restaurant in its place MaMa Oddies likeness is everywhere!! I asked the cashier about the old place and etc they said they still do good business with them, serve their cakes and receive help from them. That warmed my heart SO much!! Just off of that alone they got a loyal customer out of me. Now to talk about the food! I am not being at all biased when I say it is delicious, fresh and made with love… I went during the lunch special 10:30-2:30 and got a gyro w fries and drink, a tilapia sandwich with fries and drink and a chicken salad sandwich. It all totaled out to 26.72 so roughly 8.99 + each. I was hesitant about the tilapia Sandwich but the breading was perfect not too hard and didn’t have a lingering seafood taste, just tilapia. The fries where made fresh so by time I got them were a little soft but considering I still ate them, just needed some Cajun or Lawrys or a little salt… the chicken salad sandwich is a full size not that half size box mess FULL size and has tomato’s white onion, romaine, lettuce black olives, shredded cheese I’d say mozz, banana peppers and crispy chicken… too much to eat at once and very very fresh and delicious… I even ate the olives I hate olives. I’ll be going back to try more foods and get some deserts oh and they have this 60/40 faygo drink it’s popular… 10/10 please keep it up!”

“Famous Gyro George is a place that I have gone by a few times without thinking twice about it. I was with a friend and the subject of how amazing breakfast was came up and I remembered about this place. Thank god I did. The place might look a little shabby on the outside, but the inside is very nice and has that diner feel. We were immediately were greeted by a very nice lady. We ordered breakfast and sat down. She talked to us while we were waiting for our food and despite paying ahead at the counter, she served us water at our table. I got my breakfast before my friend and as soon as a I smelled it I couldn't wait till my friend got his. The hash browns with onions were incredible and the eggs and sausage were cooked to perfection. It was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. The total price for three eggs, three sausages, texas toast, and hash browns with onions? $4.70. An incredible deal. I'm definitely coming back sometime soon to try out their gyros and other foods.”

“New place in the midtown neighborhood figured I give it a try and WOW. I got the prime rip dip sandwich and home made mashed potatoes as a side. The sandwich was excellent and I could tell all the ingredients were made fresh. The bread was out of the bakery fresh and the mushrooms/onions were hand cut not out of a can. The garlic mashed potatoes were REAL homemade mashed potatoes and the gravy was delicious. Refreshing to have food made fresh with good ingredients. I will definitely be back 👍🏽 The staff was super friendly as well. Big 5 stars”
