Very nice place, Hunters Chicken was excellent. Service was really good. Kitchen had an issue with one meal being over cooked. That meal did not come out of kitchen staff saw it and remade the right way.
Went there for a birthday party (they don't sing happy birthday). Total 5 people. We were seated outside, but they told us that if you wanted to move inside to let them know. It was nice to know that they care like that. The food was alright. It was the run of the mill stuff. The waitress pointed out a sensitive trait about one of our guests and said "I'm sorry for you". I get that some people need to comment on these things. But just mind your own business.
The negatives: Price was a little much for not much flavor. The 'no boundaries' waitress.
Oh my, this place was great. The food was outstanding - started with the tater tots, which were actually made out of fried hash browns... so good. I had the chopped brisket steak sandwich... I can't even explain how good it was. Everything I saw coming out to people's tables looked excellent.
This place gets busy! Call ahead if you can. Also, it is pretty loud, so if you have people who are hard of hearing, it may not be for them. Beer selection is good, but not standout (maybe 10 drafts).
The manager was really nice - he saw that we had waited for 10 or so minutes and offered to put us into a two top at the bar, even though there was three of us. Worked out great!
Based on the food alone, I would want to give Burntwood a lower score, however, I did have breakfast food at a bar. The atmosphere was relaxing and beautiful, staff was warm and welcoming, and the burgers on other people’s plates did look amazing. The breakfast wasn’t bad, it just lacked any kind of depth. I found it to be rather bland, but as stated above, the burgers looked amazing! Next time I find myself at the Aloft in Cleveland, I’ll be sure to come here and give their burgers a shot!
