Sketty and meatballs! Can't lose with this one. Friendly and quick staff. You can tell that the noodles were hand made! Old school atmosphere.

Arrived during the lunch hours and was told by the owner that we had just made it in time for lunch pricing. Although we were seated immediately the waitress told us that we were too late for the lunch pricing and we had to order the dinner. Waitress was really unpleasant in her demeanor which was a big turnoff for me. I guess that I was overheard expressing to my family that I didn't have to eat there because the demeanor changed and it was a pleasant experience from that point on. The food was okay but my overall experience was fowled from the beginning.

I must admit to a bias for the TAT Ristorante. I have enjoyed dining there since the early '70s.
That said, I can honestly say that they have not lost a step. Great Italian restaurants have come and gone in Columbus, but the TAT has survived and for good reason. Owner Jimmy Corova is still on guard, greeting customers and assuring that the standards that his family built their restaurant on have been maintained.
The homemade pastas are incomparable. The sauces (gravies, if you are a true traditionalist) are straight from the old country, and the atmosphere is like a big family banquet.
Tonight my wife had her standard, spaghetti and meatballs. Always a great choice. My uncle had linguine and clams while his first generation Italian/American bride had Palenta, that she judged "almost as good as her mother's". I normally get the homemade lasagna which I am never disappointed with, but tonight I had the baked rigatoni. A lighter meal than lasagna, but every bit as delicious.
In conclusion, don't ever miss a chance to dine at the TAT, and tell Jimmy that I sent you.

I really enjoyed my meal here. It’s old school, a little too brightly lit, filled with blue hairs and dated. That said, the service was incredible (I counted 6 servers on the floor for about 25 tables). I brought my 6yr old son in for dinner a little before 6:00 on a Tuesday. I ordered their Chicken Piccata which was on their Early Bird Special menu. It came with salad, soup, a side of pasta (homemade noodles), and choice of ice cream or yellow cake for $12.95! There were plenty of options on the regular menu, and some were in the $15-$20 range, but honestly this was a steal. They’ve been in this location for almost 40 yrs and my waitress had worked there since ‘82. You just don’t find places like this anymore. I highly recommend.
