Jessie Mae's Southern Creole Cuisine

This is the best soul food in the city. I’ve been to three others and they don’t compare. My favorite by far.

More than impressed! Small location but thats the only thing thats small. Bought 2 meals, perch dinner and crawfish jumbalya. Both were made to order, were very well seasoned, and large portions. Fries and Slaw are not sides here. Mac/cheese and dirty rice were excellent! The 3 Amigos behind the counter made a friend and customer today. Columbus needs this type of good eats!

For starters , I called this establishment 3x in a row to order a dinner ( didn't want to drive there & have to sit around for my food ) & nobody answered. Made the drive , anyway. Got to the establishment & the manager ( AA male ) asked me if I had placed an order. I politely informed him that I tried calling multiple times , but nobody answered. He proceeded to say: "I didn't feel like answering. I'm the manager , so I can do that!" Hmm. Interesting. Which brings me to say: this is a HUGE problem w the black community/businesses. Blacks want you to support other blacks , but when this attitude & behaviors come into play , I would rather not -- & this is THE MAIN reason why. Jessie Mae's wants the support , but their actions don't reflect ???????? Of course , I enjoy dining w this establishment , but as Blacks , we need to do better! Will I return? Most likely. Depends on if I want to continue to support.

Perfect fried chicken. Delicious. I look forward to my next meal here.

Love this place can't until they joy a delivery service. Hands down some of the best seasoned with flavor food in town. I travel to the area just to get food from her.
