Northstar Cafe in Beechwold

Best cafe in Clintonville! Outstanding food and service. The menu is a bit limited but every item was cooked to perfection.

When I visit Columbus, I always try to find time to go to Northstar! I absolutely love their fish sandwich and the homemade ginger ale. The fish is cooked and seasoned to perfection and the ginger ale is the best I've had. Also I have had the Northstar burger and I am not a fan.... not sure what all the hype is over it.

Amazing place, fresh food and quick service! By the looks of it, I reckon the food is made of farm fresh products or fresh vegetable produce. Loved the hot chocolate and definitely recommend it! One of the best I had so far. I had the pad Thai noodles which was so fresh and the flavors were very refreshing.

North star Cafe has delicious, but pricey food. They have quite a few vegan and vegetarian options including the North star burger which is absolutely fantastic. The staff are always friendly and there is a great patio for eating outside during the summer.

Northstar is consistently great. The food is prepared from scratch on premises and the ingredients are fresh. Great healthy offerings as well the not so healthy, but very yummy! On this visit I had their Cowboy breakfast, a brunch offering, and their biscuit is huge, and not dry and crumbly. The homemade jam goes extremely well with it. It also came with 2 eggs, prepared to order, mine was over easy, and bacon. Delicious! On other occasions I usually order their Buddha bowl, deceivingly filling, and very healthy, without giving up on taste. They also probably have the best vegetarian burger around, and as an omnivore, I've enjoyed my fair share of them. The only problem is Northstar's popularity! Lines could be very long and seating, although ample at this location, fills up fast! I'm not one to wait on a line to eat and would prefer to come at off peak hours, but plenty of people do. I would definitely recommend this place for an alternative to your standard diner.
