Geordie's Restaurant

I was really excited that a new restaurant was opening up in the neighborhood. I went against my better judgement and decided to check it out the first Friday after they opened. We arrived around 6 and immediately upon sitting down ordered a scotch egg. Shorty after that we ordered our entrees. 2 hours and two beers later we still hadn’t received our scotch egg. Rachel handled the situation very well (Thank you Rachel!) I am hoping to give this place a trying in a couple of months in hopes that the kitchen has worked the kinks out.

Update! I returned a couple of weeks ago to give it another try. We had Sunday brunch but on that particular Sunday they were also offering the Saturday brunch menu items. The food was great as was the service. I look forward to returning soon! ????????

Excellent, authentic, delicious Northern English food. Simple and elegant presentation, very welcoming and friendly staff. Try the Queen Elizabeth - amazing grilled cheese with house made tomato dip! They also manage to perfect the thick cut chip - crispy outside, soft inside. This will be one of our staples!

My partner and I were the last customers on a quiet Wednesday evening. What a pleasant surprise for a first visit. The Fish & Chips was the best. The perfectly cooked cod was so big, thick and fresh, it was like eating scallops. We also had the Newkie Brown which had the perfect crust, moist steak chunks and lovely peppery ale gravy. The chef/owner Glen took a moment of his busy time to speak with us. Friendly chap, friendly atmosphere. We will definitely come back to try the other fare Glen offers. Well done!

Everything was delicious. We were served by the owner, who was also the only cook due to their chef being sick, so he was wearing many hats that evening. Despite that, service was still good and food came out in a timely manner. The owner was very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. Will definitely be going back.

You absolutely have to try this place! My wife and I went to Geordie's for dinner on a Tuesday night. From the second we walked in, we felt warm, cozy, and welcome. The owner greeted us as we entered, and we were seated immediately. We really liked our server, and the atmosphere felt very classy! The food was delicious, and the service was very quick and efficient. We'll be back!
