Delicious fried chicken. Coleslaw is the best slaw I've had in a while, plus cornbread and mac are solid. Friendly staff, they remembered my face on my third stop in although it had been 2 weeks since my last visit. Generous portions and prices can't be beat! You can tell tell this is a local hotspot. 5/5 recommend!
In Columbus we have such an abundance of food choices it is hard for me to get excited about something new. About a month ago a friend recommended I try this place. I waited. I SHOULDN'T have. The Nashville Hot wings I had (pictured) literally blew me away. So fresh. The breading is so flavourful. Sweet and savoury to a perfect degree. Literally blew away Hot Chicken Take over with one bite. I am not exaggerating. The greens are on point and the corn bread is sweet but not too sweet as to be a desert. Overall this place is for sure a 5 star. I talked to the owner and they have plans to open up a outside deck and add beer to the menu. This is going to be the type of place that defines amazing restaurants founded in Columbus going into the future. Legit that good.
I absolutely love this place!! I've been a customer since it was formerly known as Uncle Nick's Greek Fried Chicken. This was a fantastic move for the business. New building, space for customers to eat in, a friendly atmosphere and best of all great food! I've missed eating what I think is the best friend chicken around while things were being set up. Freshly made seasoned chicken, sides, drinks and if you leave hungry well that's on you. The chicken product itself is great, it's tasty, it's juicy and it's like this with every visit. I'm glad the Mac-n-cheese and the wedges came back, yum! In the pic are two breasts, one picked clean of yummy meat, the other about to be picked clean. There's not much left after the meat's gone. Good job as always. I look forward to many more visits!
I came about 20 minutes after they opened. Only one other table at the time. Up to the front and ordered right away. I order a chicken sandwich and Mac and cheese. Got my lemonade and grabbed a booth. Another couple had come in while ordering. 10 minutes or so to get my food and a few more had wandered in by then
I tried the chicken sandwich right away. The crispy coating, juicy chicken, and coleslaw topping were great. 9/10 on the sandwich. The macaroni wasn't as enjoyable for me. By the time I left, a little before noon the restaurant was getting close to full. Best of luck to them. I will be back and try some different side dishes.
Those guys are sure working hard in there. I was the first customer today, Super Bowl Sunday, and I ordered everything they had on the menu to take to a get-together. I had already had my first meal on Thursday Evening. We had a small mix up when I ordered and the manager was sure to correct it. Much appreciated, very kind people.
Everyone enjoyed the food a lot. The Chicken they use is of quality and fresh. It has made me very popular with my close friends who I shared it with. You need to try the corn bread, so many great versions of corn bread, you will enjoy the Crispy Coop's. Take your pic the Greens or Mac and Cheese. you wont go wrong.
Be prepared to maybe wait 10-15 minutes for your food and longer if you have a big order. It will be worth your wait as your food will be fresh and you are really going to like this place.
