Amazing and authentic Japanese food that isn't only sushi.
The curry was delicious and the Okonomiyaki blew me away it was absolutely phenomenal.
Sushi is okay, but Japanese food has so much more to offer, so thank you Ba Sho for offering it!
They also have Ikkoman shochu which is one of the better Shochu's available in the states without paying an arm and a leg.
Went here for lunch, and it's the first time I've seen this place completely dead. Service was slow, and the おしぼり were handed out by hands rather than tongs. Notice something missing from the Miso Ramen? That's right! No egg... The broth was rich and delicious, but the noodles were a bit soggy, and the chashu was flavorful but slightly cold. Side salad was fresh, and not swimming in dressing like at other places. Sushi was good as well.
The food is amazing! I LOVE it! The staff is incredibly friendly and polite! I love going here for their Curry and Koroke a lot! I'm sure the rest of their dishes are just as amazing too! I can't wait until I can try it when I get some new chewing teeth!
First off, this seemed to be VERY authentic Japanese. I’m basing this off of the dishes we ordered and the other reviews. I am by no means faulting this restaurant for that, but I was not a fan (the sushi was too simple for my liking). If you’re not looking for authentic, then this is not your place. The reason that I gave this restaurant 3 stars, is because of wait times. We arrived at 5:30 (opening time), and the doors were still locked. We had to wait outside for several minutes in the cold, and then we were barely greeted. The food was fine (but I’m really not comfortable reviewing them, because I feel biased). We never received drink refills throughout our meal, and we felt very rushed.
This restaurant is truly Japanese. Most of the clientele consists of Japanese expats. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. They keep it humble. I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. Even after I leave Columbus, I will make it a point to stop here whenever I'm in town.
