Cap City Fine Diner and Bar

Pork chops were succulent! Moist, sweet, and delicious. It was paired with slightly spicy mashed potatoes. The "famous" meatloaf was meh. The kid's menu was filled with great choices, including stuff for bigger kids with larger appetites. My son had the battered chicken tenders, which were great.

The service was friendly and just the right amount of solicitous. The pecan pork chops were amazing, best I've had in decades! My friend's fish and onion rings rather than chips was delicious. As it filled up, it got a bit noisy; but it makes sense why everyone wants to experience dining at Cap City!

Love this diner! Everything tastes good. The cinnamon buns at brunch are AMAZING. The wait staff has always been very kind and the place always presentable. I love the back patio as it's always available in every season.

Wonderful atmosphere and vibrant food. Servers were prompt and polite. Well trained and attentive. Food wait was a bit long. About 5-10 minutes longer than needed for the meal and dessert took much longer than anticipated. Otherwise fabulous evening meal.
****Addendum to this post... my server brought over the check and noted that the wait time was longer than he liked as well and comped our appetizer. WOW, totally impressed. Changed from a 4 to 5 star review.

Quick reservation even on a Friday night. We choose outdoor patio seating - it was a lovely evening and view of the river and sunset. Food was good. Second round of drinks a bit slow to deliver to the table. They mixed up my order a bit but made up for it by comping my meal and giving us the giant piece of chocolate cake ???? OH MY! Definitely took the experience from average to outstanding. Abraham was Awesome!
