Hen Quarter

The perfect blend of comfort food and fine dining. Everything on the menu looked great and my wife and I loved our dishes (fried chicken & shrimp/grits). We also had the mac & cheese and that was easily one of the best I've ever had. Cocktails were outstanding too. To top it off our server Gabby was a total delight -- passionate about her craft, the quality of the food, and a pleasure to talk with. Give this spot a try... no brainier!

This is a great place to get some elevated Southern cuisine in a very attractive restaurant and neighborhood. The lunch/dinner and brunch menus cover the bases with the staple southern dishes and appetizers. They put a unique twist on most of them with beautiful plating and decent portions. The cornbread is phenomenal! For a restaurant located in the mid-west, they have surprisingly/noticeably fresh seafood for their gumbo, lobster roll, etc. You definitely get the southern hospitality from their service. I'd highly recommend Hen Quarter whether you're craving comfort food, or just want a good cocktail and an appetizer.

Incredible, inspiring, and fresh!! I was not expecting such creative dishes coming here. The pork chop was perfectly cooked and the pickled salad was new and delicious. Service was perfectly done, and I highly recommend!!!

This was my first time, I had dinner and drinks at the bar. Elaine was fantastic. Personable, knowledgeable about drinks and food, and so friendly. The tomato soup and scallops were both perfect. Especially loved the spicy watermelon cocktail. Everything about the atmosphere of the restaurant from the music, to the decor, combined with the quality of ingredients they use justifies the pricier menu.

First off the atmosphere was AMAZING. Clean and fresh appeal, kind hostess, pleasant staff, and our server Melvin was TOP NOTCH! Even spoke with each of us by name. The music selection provided a great 90s VIBE, which was most appropriate seeing as how a group of high school friends were all dining out after work this evening! The cocktail signature drink was well mixed & crab and corn appetizer was EXCELLENT! I found myself scraping the cast iron skillet with chips(admittedly). Each of us Thoroughly Enjoyed our meals, and were too full by dessert, so we shared the bananas foster Bread Pudding which was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The only thing I would say needed improvement was the mac and cheese, but from a portion standpoint, if you ordered three courses, there is enough food for the next days lunch. This restaurant truly wowed me and I will definitely be returning soon, and often. Five stars were not enough!
