5 stars for the food - the food is incredible.
The 3 stars for the terrible customer service (mainly the hostess)

We have been to pies and pints many times, we brought people in tonight to try it for the first time...and it was a mess. The young lady at the front could care less about her job, she ‘lost’ our phone number after I had walked into the restaurant and given her my name and number and she REPEATED it back to me. I called 50 minutes after walking around outside and had to talk to three different people on the phone who all said they didn’t see me and acted as if I had never had a spot to begin with. Two hours later we finally got a table, not one of the three young, careless hosts/hostesses cared.

We had two babies with us. We arrived early to put our name in and get in and out before the rush so we could be out of their way. Our waitress was great. And the food was great.

I understand that usually it’s not the hostesses fault, I’ve been one before and worked in the food industry for a long time. But today, it was 100% her fault. She didn’t apologize, the manager didn’t say anything beyond ‘sorry for your wait’.

I’ve never left a review before, but Pies and Pints needs to know that their front staff is the face of their company, and it’s pretty pathetic right now. You need some new people.

I had the pleasure of visiting with some co-workers recently and can honestly say we had a great experience. The staff was on point all night keeping tabs on us regularly and honestly checking in to make sure we were enjoying our food and beer. The house wings were extremely tasty as was the pizza per my co-workers.
Beyond the tasty food and stellar service, one additional thing that drives me to give Pies & Pints 5 stars is their attention to detail. I have a dairy allergy which the waiter caught on to very quickly without me needing to explicitly state. They went out of their way to verify that every ingredient on my meal was dairy free offering highly creative alternatives for substitutions. This level of awesomeness and service went way beyond the usual for most restaurants I've been to. I can't thank them enough for giving me and my co-workers a good meal and also being meticulous in looking out for my health.

Love Pies n Pints. Great food and great beer. I don’t eat pizza that often so when I do, this is one of two places me n my boyfriend go because it’s so good, and not too much. They’re salads are great too!

Come early and come often. The food and beer selection here are excellent. Get the house salad with both dressings... you won’t regret it. We’ve never had a bad pizza here and the wings are amazing. It can get busy if you arrive after 5:30 in the evenings, but they do allow you to call ahead to get on the list.

This is absolutely one of my favorite spots in town. The beer selection is top notch, the food is passionately prepared, and the atmosphere is electric. We’ve always enjoyed great service and the product is on point. The wings are some of the best in town and the pizza is tops in a Dayton. This is always a great choice!
