Well let me tell you about this place. I knew going in that it was going to be costly, I mean really who charges for steak sauce??? Lol ok moving on. My wife and made it to The Lonely Pine Steakhouse. She ordered a Wagyu petite ( medium rare was pretty close except a thick area that was very rare) and I got the cowboy (medium, cooked prefect), we shared the Au gratin potatoes ( under cooked but the wife says that the easy way people like them???). So to the taste, wife loves hers ( not a big steak eater), I finished my steak quickly, however I was not impressed. Both steaks had this sweet taste that is unlike any steak I have ever eaten, some people will like it some like me will be left longing for a less sweet version. So all in all it was good, but the value is not great. I mean you can go to other steak houses and get more for your money with same or in my opinion better steaks. I hate when you pay 45-60 dollars for a 16oz steak (un cooked and with bone ie means small when served), then on top of that you have to pay for toppings 2-3 dollars for basic things. You also have to pay for sides, 8-10 bucks.... The wine glass was half full for a small glass basically you got half the amount of other places for similar price... So that's the good bad and ugly ( which was playing on the TV during dinner). So in summary, not a bad place to grab a meal, but there are other places with much better value, I will say the servers were all pretty good and helpful. Would I go again??? Probably not however it was a good one time place.

BLOWN AWAY! GREAT FOOD! BEST SERVICE!

A little back story on this steakhouse. This restaurant is made to model after a 1960's steakhouse on route 66. From the pictures to the old floor model tv. The manager Jacob paints a great picture of the glory days of a steakhouse when the working man was able to afford a great steak.

It's a small place and I like that they do not do reservations. So first come first serve. When you get to the restaurant they get your cell phone number so if you have to wait you can go to the bar next door. ( that they own ). The best part about that is that if you want any drink they don't have they will go next door for you and get it.

Because it is small I did have to wait 30 minutes or so. The manager keeps apologizing to us and offered to buy us a drink. Every single waiter asks us if we needed anything while waiting. I felt totally comfortable waiting for a table.

The food was wonderful from the beginning salad to the desert. The salad was amazing. The potatoes are excellent. We ended up doing the butcher special of the week for two and got a Tomahawk steak. Amazing! The meal came with the salad bread and one side making it a great value for $90. I go to steakhouses whenever I can in many different cities. This Tomahawk was probably the best I ever had. 40ozs of heaven. Although it was almost perfect I added garlic butter and blue cheese crumbles for a bigger bang.

Desert was great. I had the strawberry chocolate chip ice cream. Very good. My girl had something like small rolls but she ate it so fast I didn't get a chance to try it.

This place hands down was better than The Precinct and probably any of Jeff Ruby other two locations. I know that's a bold statement but as a steak guy, I stand behind this place.

I look forward to coming back to this place talking to the staff and trying the menu out. (Side note ask about the pictures hanging by the meat gallery)

Only negative I have is that the menu is small but I see nothing but growth from this place.

Secrets out! Best working man steakhouse or any steakhouse in Cincinnati with affordable prices!

Tonight was a great first start for this wonderful addition to the Pleasant Ridge neighborhood. We ordered the petite wagyu tenderloin and cowboy ribeye with mushrooms and carrots as sides. The steaks were wonderfully cooked with the ribeye having a particularly noteworthy crust. The carrots and mushrooms were good. The mushrooms would have been perfect if they had some sort of sauce, perhaps butter, otherwise a little dry. The coffee ice cream was well-balanced. The drinks would have been at home in the neighboring Overlook Lodge, which is to say they were well made and tasty. If you are in the area and have been looking for a steak option closer by, you would be well served to visit the Lonely Pine. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Mouth watering steaks in a casual atmosphere, with oldies in the background.
