Bakersfield

There are several restaurants featured on Diners Drive ins and Dives all on this one street. This one is by far the best out of them with its more relaxed street side atmosphere and awesome food. I recommend the braised short rib tacos.

Legit the smallest $4 tacos you will ever order. The husband and I both laughed when they arrived. Never know what you’ll get when you’re tourists LoL

Make sure to get clarification on how you order from the spirits list. If you want anything “neat” or “on ice” it will not be the same price as on the menu.

Great location. Rooftop bar was definitely the highlight.

This was my first time at Bakersfield and it was fantastic. We say outside on the roof and it was lovely. The food was delicious, flavorful and fresh. I had the shrimp taco and Short ribs taco. Both were full of fresh ingredients and tasty. The pineapple Margherita was to die for and worth the trip downtown alone. If you are in the neighborhood on Vine Street stop in. I think you will be happy you did.

Cool atmosphere and lots of seating. The menu is curated, and food is pretty good. I’ve found that there tends to be less of a wait at Bakersfield due to the size of their space, which is great if you are hungry or in a rush but are still looking for a tasty meal and a fun dining experience.

Slow service but they were packed so I understood. Drinks were very good also and for a good price. Loved the rooftop bar too.
