    My son moved to Germany last year, and he told me Cincinnati's German restaurants are "inaccurate" because everyone over there eats Doner Kebab and Currywust, not wienerschnitzel and spaetzle. I don't know if that's true, but when I saw both those items on the menu here I knew I had to check them out. I've nothing to compare them to, but I loved the food, and I also loved the vibe in this joint. Need to visit one evening for dinner and the bar!

    This is not your dad’s German restaurant. If you are looking for bland, unimaginative overcooked food with an Oompah band on an endless loop you are not going to find it here.
    Frank at Madison in Findlay Market suggested we try the Kantine.
    My wife and I stopped by for lunch and started with a couple of beers. There is a well chosen selection of German taps and cans as well as Cincy taps (Norther Row was well represented). We ordered the Currywurst with baked potatoes and a Döner kebab. Wonderful! We are planning an evening return to sample the dinner menu.
