Amazing! A hole in the wall that everyone should experience. It is an Latino Asian fusion restaurant with an excellent menu. Everything we had was great and I'll definitely be going again. Our server was Sydney and she was knowledgeable about the menu and so friendly.
They also they have $5 frozen margaritas!
6 stars!!! Went before the Opera. It was delicious. I can't wait to go back. My friend gave me a list of places downtown and I chose Lalo. I'm glad. The reviews were awesome and this was a perfect spot before the Opera, the server was MIA sometimes. The waitress was young and I had to keep looking for her to ask for stuff but that in no way took away from my awesome visit. The Drunken Brisket over Rice was wonderful.
I had 3 of the tacos they featured for taco week and was intrigued by the different flavors. I definitely appreciated the idea of bringing together different cuisines in a dish, but I was not impressed with the lack of effort. The decent mango slaw and too "fishy" fish in the fish taco was way overpowered by the sriracho mayo. The curried chicken was good, but I'd rather have the same thing not in a taco. The pork was fine and the veggie was probably the best taco out of them all.
The best items at this meal were not even tacos at all! The zucchini fries were super delicious and the sangria is definitely one to return for.
Pretty nice place. Great tasty food. Mexican, Latin, Asian fusion. They do give large servings. Nice decor and very pleasant Manager and Waitress's. I would recommend walking to this place if you are downtown.
