First time at Uncle Johnnie's this evening. I went in to pick up my take out order. Atmosphere seemed good for what it is. Place you can drink and grab food or go with your family to sit down and eat.

Staff was friendly. Really the only thing I can comment since I walked in paid and grabbed my food.

I didn't get a chance to take a picture of my husband or daughters food, but we ordered all burgers. Classic, BBQ burger and the kids burger. They are huge burgers. Too much for my husband you know it's BIG. I wasnt expecting such a big patty for a smash burger. Good burgers though. We are glad to have somewhere close for wings and burgers. We also got the Johnnie rolls. Loved those and the homemade jalapeño ranch!

We will definitely be back for more food. We live 2 minutes away.

New ownership and they are off to a good start. Only about 20 mins from New Albany. Tried the fish and chips, and they were spot on. Nice ambiance, relaxing feel and friendly staff. Will be back.

Promising. They have some kinks to work out, which is to be expected, including some additional training of waitstaff. Overall, though, our experience was positive. I had the BBQ burger and got the onion rings on the side so my husband could eat those since I don’t like them. The burger was quite tasty! My husband said the onion rings were really good! But they were pretty large and he couldn’t imagine them being put on a burger. His cheesesteak he got was tasty and the bread was good, but could have been filled a little more. It was a lot of bread compared to cheesesteak filling. The fries were awful. The oil was old and the fries were old too. Tasted like fry oil and like they’d been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Beer was nice and cold.

Our server was very nice but clearly inexperienced and in need of more training. As we were sat at our table by the hostess, we didn’t even have our coats off yet before sitting down and the waitress came over and asked if we knew what we wanted to drink. Maybe let us sit down first and look at the menu. It was our first time eating here. She came back a few minutes later to ask for drink orders again. When I asked about the 2 seasonal rotations on draft, one of them she knew, the other she said, “yeah I’m not sure what the other one is.” But did not offer to go find out. Just stood there and looked at me. Came and asked us how our food tasted RIGHT after it was placed in front of us. We hadn’t touched it yet. Then brought us our check without asking if we wanted a refill or anything else. Definitely need to go over some basics of customer service with the waitstaff.

We tried Uncle Johnnie’s tonight and will definitely be back. The atmosphere is great. The staff were all friendly and helpful. They have four top tables and booths as well as seating for larger parties. The bar also has a good amount of seating. We didn’t have to wait but quickly all the tables were taken. They had a great turnaround time and we didn’t see anyone waiting to be seated while we were there. The menu offers burgers, chicken wings, salad, pizza and some entrees. We went with salads and bone in wings and boneless wings. My husband loved the wings tossed in hot. I thought the boneless were great. They were meaty and didn’t have heavy breading. They had a great flavor. I got mild sauce and garlic Parmesan dry rub. They had a great flavor. The Johnstown Jam was absolutely delicious. Bourbon, mixed berries and lemon. They have a decent beer selection too. Happy hour is weekdays from 3-6pm and is a great deal. Half off appetizers, $2 off wine, $6.99 house and classic cocktails and $3 domestic beers. There’s plenty of parking behind the building as well as free in street parking in front. We look forward to coming back and bringing friends.
