Kyoto Ka Downtown

Stopped by on my way through town for a business trip. I’ve had a lot of sushi so I may be a bit harsh in my review but I found the menu to be long but not overly creative. I love sushi with fruit and they really only had 1 thing like that. I was also hoping for maybe something with bbq or a Mexican roll and they just had the standard fare. Service was very good and the restaurant was very clean. I would recommend especially to someone just learning to love sushi! They seemed to have a great drink menu as well which can be hard to find in a sushi restaurant.

I love sushi restaurants. They understand the value of quality and their service is usually a cut above most other category of restaurants. Kyoto Ka gets it. The sashimi was excellent. My friends had bento boxes when I was there for lunch. They were very good and had an excellent cross section of product. Helpful hint 1: Sit at the bar and be sure to sit in front of Sung. He's friendly, knows his products and will make recommendations that work for those that have a thing about sushi. Helpful hint 2: Order the Kyoto Ka salad. It's not on the menu but it's one of their best dishes. Figure $10 to $15 a head (plus tip) for lunch. Double that for dinner. Well worth the money.

Service was a bit slow for how not busy it was. However the food was delicious and our server was good. My group ordered four different rolls and two different apps.
My order was the black dragon roll, lava crunch, and calamari fritters. The lava crunch was a no rice and no seaweed roll. The fish was the rolled portion.

Excellent service. The sushi was amazing! Nice laid back vibe downtown. You wont be disappointed! Stop in for a quick bite or stay for a bit and sample some Japanese beers or a cocktail!

First time visiting Toledo stumbled upon this place while trying to find a great Sushi place to dine with my special someone...the food was absolutely fantastic. So Good we went back the next night. Great service. Tasty food and quite atmosphere. Would recommend as top Sushi places to visit.
