Al's Smokehouse - Bar & Grill

The servers were all nice and polite and they have a pretty good menu with some tasty options unfortunately they have a long way to go with logistics. I spoke to a few of the staff about a few issues that we experienced and hopefully they took it as an opportunity to grow. This place has alot of potential and I really hope they are able to incorporate a bit of training for their front and back of house staff. I am really rooting for this restaurant.

Al's new location in Huber Heights is still building its client base, but the BBQ is fantastic, and the side items live up to the main courses. I've had their brisket, pulled pork, omelet, and cheeseburger, and each one has been incredible. Their collar greens, corn bread, and mac and cheese are standouts among the side items. The prices are a little higher than your typical lunch fare, but it's clear where that extra money goes in terms of quality.

The service has always been efficient and friendly, and it's not uncommon for Al himself to come by and check on the tables. The restaurant is still settling into its new home in a former TGI Friday's location, but the atmosphere is becoming more distinctive as the weeks progress.

Visited her for the first time. I ordered bourbon chicken . It was far better then I expected. I envision the same quality you get served on a tooth pick at the mall. NOPE I got all white meat covered in delicious smokey bourbon sauce . I had a side of greens they too were delicious . My husband ordered a pork tenderloin sandwich. It too was far better then envisioned. Think thick hand breaded pork with a light breading ." It was the best tenderloin sandwich he has ever had" his exact words. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is the fact my delicious bourbon chicken wasn't served hot. I like my food steaming hot. But please go and encourage this new company to succeed.
