I really like there pizza
Updated from 5 to 4 stars. Walked in to see at least 5 dead bugs in every ceiling light (it's winter), including a half dozen suspiciously large ones, then bit into onions in a calzone that wasn't supposed to have them.

Cassano's is a staple of the Dayton area, and for many people around here we've been eating it since we could have solid food. The staff and quality can vary a LOT by location, but this is a pretty good one overall. Our orders are almost always exactly right, and we've been coming here for over ten years. In addition to the pizza and other Italian-ish dishes, hey have cold bottled drinks, though no fountain drinks, a couple of pre-packaged dessert pie slices, and a nice selection of Mikesell's potato chip flavors and sizes. Our order is usually ready in under 20 minutes if we pick it up at the store.
If it's your first time at Cassano's, know that this location like most has a pretty small, plain, comfortable but not date-night material eat-in area. Their standard pizza has a thin crust, cut into small squares with no plain crust edges, and with sea salt on the bottom, but you can customize it almost any way you'd like. Their mushrooms are canned, sausage is in very fine crumbles and generous, and crust can sometimes be somewhat greasy, though nothing as bad as Little Caesar's or Milano's. Because the pizza is on the (vertically) thin side, one person can usually do in a small by themselves, though it's big enough to be shared if you're having a salad or other side. Finally, it does reheat really well in a toaster oven or a skillet, if you have any leftovers!
You may not come here for a strip-mall ambiance or an old-school Italian menu, but you'll find yourself coming back over and over for the pizza, side dishes and quick, accurate service.
We ordered the big 60. We were not impressed. I'm old school. Been eating Cassano's for 40 plus years. The classic thin crust is much better!
