The Old Bag Of Nails Pub

I saw this place for months and never thought to go in, what a mistake! Great food! Great pub atmosphere and lots of good people.

Food seems to be pretty good, the bar service is not. I ate there about a year ago for lunch and sat at the bar and the service slow, tried again and the same result, slow service. Maybe I'm just accustomed to the great service at the other area restaurants. Not sure if I will go back for lunch.

Place was packed tonight and we were on a tight schedule. T almost went somewhere else but we liked it so much the first time we went there for lunch I decided we would roll the dice on their dinner menu this time. When I saw saw how fast they seated the couple in front of us I decided we would stay and just see if they would put a rush on our food. The server 'Ben' I think, sorry 'Ben' if I didn't get that right, was outstanding. He rolled with it and got us our drinks quickly and then went ahead and took our orders. We were sure to ordered fried entree's as we were in a hurry to get to a play, did I mention we didn't have much time?????⌛ Everybody was staying g busy and actually smiling while doing it, rear anymore. Our food came out even quicker then I expected and it was spot on. We all ordered Fish (their specialty) and chips along with fried shrimp and scallops, oh, and we had an appetizer of mussels that they kindly brought us with the rest of our entree's. I'm sure my requirements had the cooks in a frizzy but you won't have known it on our end, as everything was perfect. We actually made it to our play early. ???? Next time we come back we will make sure we have enough time to enjoy our meals and the pubs cool atmosphere. Thanks to the Bag of Nails staff for a great dinner.
