J. Alexander's Redlands Grill

Food was spectacular. Service not so great. Sat in bar booth. Only reason service was not terrible was because other staff took care of us. Bartender-which was our server was too "busy" to take care of us properly. Quality of food was only reason for good rating

My first experience was a very good one. I had the prime rib with grilled zucchini. My steak was perfect like butter. Of course it's a little pricey but it's well worth the coin. I would recommend it for a date night for sure.

I've been coming here for over 20 years and it's still one of my favorite restaurants. The service is almost always excellent and the food is always superb! I have noticed a slight decline in their attention to detail since transitioning to Redlands but it's still always worth the trip and the money when we stop in. Our favorite menu items include the Steak Rolls appetizer, the Redlands Salad (an absolutely perfect dinner salad), and their divine Steak Maui continues to be my go-to entree. I also recommend their Prime Rib, Steak Burger and Rattlesnake Pasta. But I honestly haven't ever had anything here I wouldn't order again. And if you ever have room for dessert, their Carrot Cake is heavenly.

I have been going to J. Alexander's for many years and every single time it is a spectacular experience. This most recent time was for my birthday and it was yet another magical experience. Nearly every time I go my wife and I get the Steak Maui because it is just phenomenal with an amazing cook and delicious sauce. Our server this time was a wonderful gentleman named Clayton who was one of the most attentive, courteous, and all around greatest servers I have ever had at a restaurant. Thank you for making this experience even better!

The only downside I can give J. Alexander's is that it is quite expensive, with appetizers, steaks, and tip the total was just shy of $200. That being said, in my opinion, it is well worth the elevated price point for such a perfect experience and food.

It's been one of my favorite restaurants in memory, so when we moved back after 12 years was excited to be able to dine there again. While the food is still good there are subtle changes that I miss. Staff is friendly and accommodating so we will still continue to dine here, just not as often as we would have if things remained the same as when it opened.
