The chicken and dumpling soup was terrific and came nice and hot. The waitress was pleasant but it took a long time to get the food (almost an hour). But there is no online menu that says what the Soups of the Day are... you have to call if you want to know. Aurora Heinen's lists their soups online every day and I can search from the office. I went here one evening to get some soup and they were out of all soups so I've never bothered going back in the evening to even check if there are soups available. I went there for lunch today and at 11:45 AM I ordered what was their last bowl of soup available in the restaurant. The fax order form for catering lunch is convenient, but it doesn't list soup options, and if it did, would the soup even be available? Step up your soup game please before you lose me!”

Truly a good time with people that make you feel like you are part of there tribe. We recommend getting the food you love as the chef they have is excellent with the menu provided. We got the wings and they do not disappoint. They have whole wings. We recommend that you go on a Wednesday for wings and wine. Also, for a bit of extra excitement ask about pairing wine with the menu. Come and have fun. Be prepared for a mid level bill with two getting out for under 100 with drinks, apps, and appetizers. “This is definitely a homestyle Texas BBQ restaurant! For people who,are complaining that they have ran out I can absolutely understand why! The ribs were fantastic and seasoned well needed absolutely no sauce they were just fine on their own. The pulled pork was amazing and very moist. We also had brisket and pork loin. Both were a little dry but still had a wonderful smokey flavor and the sauces helped with the dryness. Get your own refills empty your own plates like you would at your mommas or grandma's house. The staff were very friendly and the food was great. I definitely recommend a visit here.”

Parking is also challenging as there is a lot but very few spaces. The crowd on a Saturday night was 65+, not sure if that's typical. The decor and atmosphere is kind of traditional and old style tavern. Again, it's not bad, but it's a bit pricey and blah. Try and see for yourself.”

The barmaid, Cori was personable, attentive, and inviting but I could not find a way to have her suggest to the hostess at the door to not give weird stares at the only black couple in the place. The hostess also never greeted us when we walked in. We had to basically greet her and tell her we would seat ourselves at the bar. She was extremely standoffish as well.”

Surf & turf was small piece of meat, 3 paper thin slices of zucchini, nice shrimp, but forgot to bring the other side.
