Loby’s Grille

The service staff were on point, multiple checkins during visit. Points for the remodeling- blends inner & outer seating well. Menu shows good options. But kitchen techniques are not up to par with Loby's on Hills n Dale. Burgers were good. Cod had too thick batter- 3/8" cooked okay on outside, wet & gooey on the inside, next to fish. (Arthur Treachers had thick batter like that. They closed). Fried chicken & pizzas came out of kitchen looking dark, past golden color, more like a dark walnut. Won't try them till cooking methods get revamped.

Our group personally didn't think they were ready to open. I got the breakfast pizza which was overcooked and hard and not much flavor. The kitchen was out of am item a friend ordered so she order something else, and instead they chose to cancel that new item and make the first chosen item but with different ingredients. The kitchen didn't even bother to notify our server. I definitely wouldn't come here for breakfast, unsure of how lunch/dinner service is though. Our server was amazing at least. Very helpful and made sure we were taken care of. Maybe I'll give them another shot down the road, but as for now I won't be in a rush to return.

I think they are still working out the kinks. We had to ask for everything from our server, including lemons in our water, small plates for our appetizers, napkins and dressings that we ordered. She seemed to forget many things. It took a long time for drinks to come out and for our server to even come over. However, I will be back when they get a little more time under their belt.

When we were leaving we noticed this large pile of trash and boxes outside of the back kitchen door. Kind of surprised because it is an eye sore for sure. Hoping they clean that up so others don’t have to walk by that every time they want to dine.

I think foe second day open they was under staffed bartender had to run way more than should of. They should have focused on bar and drinks. Wait time was long than it should of been I feel management should of stepped in in for better service to begin customers back. Price wise think there as high as old John bar.
