Smitty's Steak & Ale

We Door Dashed Smitty's for the first time. WOW! Club Sandwich was huge and delicious! The fried mushrooms were special, not the frozen ones from a bag. These Shrooms were hand breaded and FRESH. Even the buttermilk ranch dressing was fresh! The Sauerkraut balls were rich, warm, melty, and hearty. We'll be regulars. Thanks, Smitty's.

All of their tables were full but they sat us at the bar so we could eat. My wife got a "fruit punch" drink and it was excellent but definitely sweet. The sour kraut balls were super good, home made with real kraut and corned beef inside them not some frozen bagged ones. Wife got a $7 burger and fries which is incredibly cheap and was delicious. I got strip steak with onion rings and Mac&cheese for $22. Onion rings were the best I've had in years, steak was cooked perfectly and came out on a cast iron skillet and the Mac and cheese was good. Overall we were super happy with our visit.

Everything tasted good but there's room for improvement. Serving my ribeye on a sizzling fajita pan not only cooked it from the ordered medium until it was well done, but it also spat grease all over the table as well as my face and glasses. Overall I would still recommend. The fries were great

AMAZING food and outstanding service! The crab Rangoon is THE BEST I’ve ever tasted and I will order it every time we eat here! The homemade rolls with cinnamon butter melt in your mouth. Steaks came out sizzling and were so delicious! Definitely will be back!

I really wanted to love this place since it's local hometown folks. The salad, cheese sticks and steak were great. The fries were overcooked and cold, I couldn't even pick them up with my fork, they just shattered when I tried stabbing them. My wife's baked potato sat in the foil way to long after it was cooked and was like glue. We had to remind the waitress about our appetizer which she brought just before our steaks finally came out. They weren't even that busy but we waited 45 minutes. I gotta say I went there for the steak and it was cooked perfectly, could have used a bit of salt, but it was delicious. I might go again. I'm in the fence about it.
