Fred's Diner

It was busy, but the staff was friendly and service was fast. The food was really good. Actually it was the best breakfast food I've had in years.

God bless Fred's Diner and their large portions of bacon.

A true local gem. I take friends here to give them the real Akron experience. No frills, no pandering to trends, just good food and good service, which is what really matters anyway.

Don't be fooled by the exterior, Fred's Diner is exactly what you should expect. They spent their money and efforts into making great food, not renovating the exterior.

The buzz around Akron of Fred's Diner being one of the best breakfast places in Akron brought us here & it did not disappoint! Despite, being quite busy, we were quickly sat. Our server, was friendly, helpful, and considerate! We ordered french toast & the #2 (both of which came with sausage or bacon like most breakfast places) However, unlike most breakfast places, Fred's doesn't give you 2 tiny slices of bacon. No...at Fred's you get 7 thick crunchy slices of bacon. The rest of our meals were great too! We can't wait to come back!

Haven't been there in a while but it's not changed one bit. Perfect ???????? as always. Had the #2 eggs over easy, hash browns, ham(the size of a small plate and thick!!), And rye toast. Coffee was constantly refilled. Great service. The shirt's the servers wear read on the back "eat, pay, get out" funny because they are super friendly and helpful.
