We had three meals a week for four weeks delivered after the birth of our second child. It was so nice to have healthy organic meals provided to us that were delicious. Rachel was awesome at customizing our orders based on our many dietary restrictions and sensitivities. Everything she made was well thought out and you can tell she takes her time to plan unique tasteful meals. Some of our favorites were chicken pot pie, bison and wild rice cabbage rolls, blueberry lemon tart, pierogies with wild foraged mushrooms, and bison lasagna. We had a wonderful experience working with Rachel and highly recommend her services!

The food from this place is amazing! The recipes and flavor combinations are so unique. I can’t think of any restaurants that serve food like this. You know the flavor difference between a home grown tomato and store bought?? That’s how i think of The Root Cellars meals. It’s real food and you can taste the flavors of everything!
You can tell that so much care is put into the whole service from delivery to communication to reusable containers. I highly recommend!

This is my first review ever. I ordered the 3 meal plan for my husband and myself. So far we have eaten the Meatloaf w/side of mashed chickpeas, it was excellent.. we loved the Mediterranean style with the olives and feta.. it was light and fluffy, my husband went back for thirds and we still had a nice piece for lunch the next day. Next was the stuffed portabella caps which we had with the seasonal salad/lemon vinaigrette, 6 came in the dinner.. we ate 4, and each had 1 left for lunch. They had a wonderful tangy/citrus like flavor (I'm guessing it was a marinade) the stuffing is a wild rice/veggie blend topped with parmesan.. I'm eating my 1 leftover for lunch as I type. Salad to go with was simple and lemon dressing delicious. Oh.. I forgot... there was a soup that came with the mushrooms but we decided to have the salad with them instead. We will be having the dumpling soup tonight and the last meal is the veggie Korma which we will have tomorrow. So impressed with this service, I have some autoimmune issues which make me sensitive to bad food and I've have no issues so far. Food is medicine and your health is your wealth!! This service is worth every penny, in fact.. with the quality of the food and the love that obviously went in to the cooking she is not charging enough in my opinion. We did the math.. and if you consider eating out a couple/few times a week and groceries that go bad in the fridge because we are too tired to cook and the food quality (which you will not get in the stores or even most high end restaurants) I would recommend trying this service and see what you think
