Uncle Buck's Riding Stable and Dance Barn

Really enjoyed the peaceful ride thru the woods and on the abandoned railroad tracks! Couldn't have asked for better behaved horses either! One note I would add is, if you have ANY fear of heights please notify the staff at the stables before your ride! You go on trails that you look to your left and a couple feet over is major drop off, you turn and look to the right and SAME thing! Don't get me wrong it's beautiful scenery and so peaceful but even my stomach kind of jolted once I saw this (and I'm an experienced rider and felt comfortable with the demeanor of my horse)! The 2 1/2 hour ride takes you thru a tunnel and over a wooden bridge where a stream runs below and you go up and down some pretty high hills. ! The horses were well cared for and the tack was in good condition. Would totally return for another ride!

What a nice relaxing and beautiful ride! Our guide Danielle was super friendly and knowledgable about the area, and we learned a lot about the horses that we were riding, and the other horses they have and the stories behind them. I highly recommend Uncle Bucks! I also recommend making your reservations before coming to ride. They aren’t required, but it would be wise.

The location, atmosphere, and people (staff) were wonderful.
My only concern was that several of the horses used for the rides had bad saddle sores (not seen until the saddles came off) their hooves were over grown and missing shoes making it hard for them to walk on the rocky trails and some were very thin and a couple had bad breathing issues and should not have been made to walk those trails.
These are all things that can be corrected pretty easily and I hope they do so.
Overall though, it was a very nice place to visit.

My wife and I went had such a good time during our ride. The people at Uncle Buck's were all very nice and helpful. Our guide was knowledgeable and lots of cool facts about the area and the trail we rode that made it more interesting. I would highly recommend Uncle Buck's!

Great experience! My husband and I were 15 minutes and late and they were kind enough to wait for us after we traveled such a far distance. I’m so grateful for that! This was also our first time and the guides were very patient and helpful. We only did the 1 hour trail but I felt like it was perfect for our first time. My bottom was a little numb but I guess that’s something you get used to after so long.

The only thing that I would change is having a direct line to contact someone. The only option was online, fax, email, or voicemail. However, we would definitely come back again.
