Ted's Cafe Escondido

Tex Mex that tries but remains average. Employees were all very cordial, with smiles and willingness to help. Order of Flags of Mexico was three enchiladas with different internals and flavored sauces. Actually two of them were quite good. I asked for black beans but got refried and as I was finishing a server dropped a dish just behind my chair. So the lemonade was good, water was not offered and the chicken enchiladas were average. Overall an average experience but nothing to get excited about. The search continues.

Great food! We had the best waiter named Cameron. He was so attentive and humorous. Great conversation and service!

It took a while to get a drink order put in and I was on the verge of just walking out when I realized our waiter was new and inexperienced. Seems like they threw the poor guy to the wolves. Overlooking that, the rest of the experience was great. Good service, good food, and decently priced. First time I've been to this location and will definitely stop by again next time I'm in Norman.

Teds is a fixture in Norman for Tex Mex. The food is good Tex Mex but it can be better than others from time to time. It is a very busy place and there is always a wait time on weekend nights. They make their own tortillas in-house and they are very good. The fare is typical - enchiladas, tacos and fajitas.

Food consistent...good as usual.
And...the young man who waited on
us provided outstanding service. also,
a supervisor dropped by to ask about our experience; that is a common action.
If we want spicy, Ted's is a great choice.
