ABSOLUTE MUST STOP when visiting places in Oklahoma. I am not sure exactly how the building is standing but the food was SO GOOD! The fried green tomatoes were amazing and the burgers perfect.
Don't go overboard, the burgers are HUGE and you will walk away feeling like a tick!
The wait for a Saturday was short. The service was good. The burgers were awesome, onion rings were excellent. The fries were standard run of mill, nothing to speak of. Great lunch meal, we all enjoyed from age 2 to 60years! Homemade ice cream vanilla was bonus!
This place is known for their burgers which are made of the most wonderful, delicious, lean longhorn meat. So I was absolutely heartbroken when they took that amazing, freshly ground meat and cooked the life out of it.. medium rare? Forget it. Well done, my lady. Still, it was pretty good.
My other complaint is that they didn't toast the hamburger bun. That would have made it much better..
Other than that, the experience was good. Their decor is fun.
Oh, and I also tried the cheddar peppers and those were really tasty.
By the way, try their pecan cobbler. That thing is soooooo good...
You have to try it. There's no complaint about this place. You sit down and be thankful you're able to visit this place. It may not measure up to your best but nobody want to see this place suffer to any comparison. Its rich history deserves that much respect.
I happen to love the food.
An absolutely amazing experience. The cheeseburger I ate was amazing! The burgers reminded me a little of "Freddys frozen custard" restaurant. Thinner patty so it was cooked to perfection. They serve drinks in huge mason jars! Do not get over full here, the ice cream is to die for. It is equivalent to about 5 scoops of ice cream out of a bucket. Not the one scoop you get from other places. A side note, they DO NOT TAKE any form of card. They almost lost a star over this. They have an ATM in the store. This is a cash only business in a credit card world. A simple merchant account and they could easily fix this.
