We drove here from Branson (about 2 hours) mostly to visit Oklahoma, what a wonderful surprise. The staff is very friendly and obviously passionate about the business but also the area around Grove. The motorcycle museum attached to the restaurant is fascinating and all of the people were very passionate about the motorcycles. The collection is mostly a private collection with some unique bikes and neat collection. My wife and I had such a wonderful day with our visit here being the topper, well worth the drive and a highlight of our entire trip.
Excellent food! I definitely recommend the Italian Roast Beef. If potato leek soup happens to be the soup of the day, definitely grab a bowl as well.
The best cabbage soup. BEST. EVER! Went back the next day for more. With the soup I had aan old fashioned bologna sandwich. Mmmmm
If you like vintage motorcycles, this place is a treat. If you like vintage motocross bikes it's a must see. Each bike is uniquely significant and loving restored. If you're lucky Jim will tell a story or two that would make even the hardest road dog smile. Enjoy the ride "On any Sunday" is alive and well at the "Checkered Past"
Stopped in for lunch, was pleasantly surprised. Got the cheeseburger. Was very juicy and flavorful. Good atmosphere, definitely worth stopping in and trying.
