We went here last night and had oysters on the half shell and crab bisque soup....so good and fresh! We come here all the time and every dish is perfect. Happy hour starts at 2pm with half price appetizers and beer. Great food and service. Really good red beans and rice as well. The crab bisque is amazing though!! Next time I will get a bigger bowl for sure. Highly recommend!!!
A friend and I visited today for lunch. It was my first visit to The Shack. And , the food was wonderful. I had the jambalaya which was served with green beans. The jambalaya was just right for me as I like spicy but not burning hot food and the green beans were crisp. One of the few restaurants that serve their vegetables this way. And, the pork rinds were delicious. But the whole trip was enhanced by our server, Trish. She was very helpful answering questions, and friendly and gracious in the delivery of our food and drinks. The entire visit was just the first of many I will be making.
Good bisque and crab legs. Expensive but 2 good servers made it a good dinner. Most of the staff needs training, because it makes the tone unprofessional. The good servers need to bring out butter and crab crackers with the legs
I have been to the Shack several times for lunch and dinner. The food and service is always good, however it is a bit expensive especially for lunch. The main entree portion was adequate but the lunch portion of coleslaw is in a very small shot glass sized condiment container. I have had similar meals at other seafood restaurants for less money and more food. I would definitely recommend this restaurant but be ready to spend some money.
