“Belle Isle Restaurant & Brewery is located inside 50 Penn Place. Not a lot generally happening in this building as the brewery seems to be the biggest attraction. The main floor is the restaurant, small bar, and deck seating, while upstairs is the actual brewery, bar, pool tables, entertainment stage, pinball, and a massive seating area. I actually enjoyed my beverages downstairs as during my early evening visit it was rather quiet upstairs. The bartender was friendly. I had the following drinks as part of my flight sampler:”

“My husband and I tried this in the middle of the week and had an amazing time! April was our server and she was amazing! She was very helpful and explained to us how things worked and answered so many questions throughout the night. She was very kind, patient and so cheerful! The food was amazing!!! The salad bar was awesome and had so many wonderful choices! The salmon on it with the capers and onions was outstanding! The night that we were there, the meats were filet, sirloin, chicken, flank steak, pork loin and chops, and lamb chops and they all were so good! The sides that they offer also were very good. My only complaint is that I couldn't eat as much as I would have liked! We were both in food comas when we left and had to walk around the mall for a bit just to walk it all off! So be prepared to leave full and we had to pass on the amazing dessert choices so bear that in mind when you go! The atmosphere was very inviting and upbeat. So the entire experience was a great one! Would highly recommend!”

If you are looking for a bare bones mom and pop Q joint this may not be the place for you. Conversely if you are looking for a restaurant that's trendy and has decent food and beer this is definitely your spot. Having said all of that I will definitely be going back to try some of the other menu offerings that they have.”
