Captain Johns Seafood & Cajun Grill

My husband had the surf and turf and I had to Cajun jambalaya pasta. Both were divine. The steak was cooked perfectly. What has been ordered at peach tree that was maybe the sweetest strongest peach tea I’ve ever tasted. I didn’t think it was terrible but he didn’t like it very much. It was definitely worth the trip. We’re headed to Talihina.

Supper here on 9/24/2020. Social distancing? No reservation so we left our phone number and were asked to wait outside until notified that a table was ready. Short 10-15 minutes wait. Entered dining room and staff were wearing masks. Day us in a booth with about 4 inches separating us from the couple in the next booth. No customers wearing masks. We ordered NY strip with added shrimp, baked potato and fried okra. We shared the steak and the sides. 2 unsweet iced teas. Approximately $23 for the entire meal. Steak ordered very well done with no pink. Steak came out medium well. Sent back to finish cooking. Staff returned the steak in about 5 minutes slightly warmer but still medium well. Complimentary rolls were the highlight of the meal. Met more friendly staff at an IRS audit. As we left two folks seated in the lobby waiting. No masks. Four adults entering the restaurant at the door. No masks. Why post a requirement for masks on the door of you just don't care.

Great Crab Legs and hush puppies and also the Catfish Bites! The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful.

We drive to far away places to have lunch on a regular basis. Sometimes its a wonderful experience, and sometimes it's just the opposite. The 90 mile trip to Captain John's was definitely one of the best. Loved the food and the service was superb.

I love the wait service. If you want to go sit in your car then you can and they will text you when your table is ready! Really great southern food like catfish and hush puppies but most of all the biscuits are incredible with honey! Don't know how they do it but I know it's good. Definitely coming back for seconds.
