Fantastic food! The service was good as well. Unfortunately the food took over an hour to come out even though it was amazing we were over it. We ate a few bites and took the rest home. Everything was rushed after that and it was upsetting when you spend $650 for dinner. I ate it at home so that's how I know it was good.
Very nice upscale restaurant. Food was excellent. The seafood pasta had scallops, huge shrimp/ prawns, lump crab meat, and half a lobster tail. The rib eye steak was melt in your mouth tender. Will definitely be going back.
The service was great. I had the pork chop and it's the best one I have ever had. Delicious! It came with risotto, carrots and asparagus. Dessert was enough for 4 people, banana foster bread pudding.
We went to McGill's for dinner before a concert and sat at the bar. Jewell took care of us and was very friendly while being hard at work. The restaurant was filled to capacity, due to the concert, and was very busy. We did encounter an issue with our steaks taking quite a bit longer than expected, which made getting to the concert on time very tight. When Jewell became aware of our concerns, she involved the manager, Steven. He managed to get our steaks right out and he definitely made up for the long wait and made us feel like we were important to him. And to top it all off, after we had eaten, we got up to leave and Steven was right there to ask if we had been the The Joint for a show before. When we told him we had not, he said "follow me", and he promptly led us to the venue so that we could arrive as quickly as possible. This is a very well run restaurant and we will definitely be returning. Big thanks to Jewell and Steven for making sure our night was special.
