The Lazy Fisherman

So the good and bad. The good is that the fish was cooked perfect and crispy and not soggy, the food is fresh and homemade. The bad is that the food seemed to lack seasoning but that seems like a fairly easy fix and I hope the owners see this. We had the combo fish platter and I would give it a second chance but if the seasoning issue isn't fixed I wouldn't go back. I still give it a 4 based on the home cooking and some people might like the seasoning but again, the fish was cooked perfect.

The best catfish I've ever had!!! My favorite hole in the wall get away from the city restaurant. Laid back and comfortable setting without sacrificing any flavor. But I was disappointed when I watched the ENTIRE banana cream pie walk out the door before I could grab a piece. But I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

A hidden gem of Bixby. Food is on point, the best fried okra and hush puppies I’ve ever had. I took some friends from out of state here, had more than our full. The owner came out to chat and thought we needed some more food so he loaded us down with 7 more fillets of catfish. By the time we left we almost had to roll out of there. Will be back soon!

An excellent meal of fried fish. Hushpuppies were better than most. They were busy for dinner that day so the wait was longer than expected but was well worth the wait.

Had not eaten there in many years. Should not have waited so long.

Love this small town home cooking restaurant that has been around for years! The food and employees are amazing, always great service and friendly staff, greet you with a smile and great conversation. My family and I not only love to eat hear but also love to visit with the staff.
