Happy to have a Catrina Fresh Mex in Owasso. We dined in, but it's really more of a take-out kind of place. The menu is a bit overwhelming when you walk in (over 12 burritos PLUS the breakfast ones that are served all day). Plus there are bowl options, tortas, and tacos.
I tried the California burrito. The steak was really good but there were more potatoes than steak. Not sure there were French fries in it (as an authentic one would have). The potato stuffing was more like hash browns. I would order it again though.
Did I mention the burritos are HUGE? Definitely could split one. We also tried three street tacos (al pastor, steak and chicken). Very good as well. The side of rice (extra) was fluffy but needed a bit of salsa.
Chips and salsa (also extra) were good. We tried the medium salsa (available in mild, medium, or hot). The medium was plenty spicy for us. The interior is fresh and clean and I LOVE the mural.
We definitely will be trying this again.
This place is pretty dang good! Good quality, plenty in portions, and at a good price. Also, a salsa bar!
For those in the area... basically, think of Tacowasso, but cheaper... more bang for your buck and still of good quality!
Definitely will be going there again.
Pictured is their Chorizo, egg, and cheese with half steak (upcharge for the steak).
Food is delicious, people are nice, fast service and moderate pricing and options. They have more takeouts compared to dine-in and that is because of the limited seating.
The lunch special for 2 people is $20.00 and I think if you were to piece things out and wanted chips- you would be about $30. So, there is a little complaint about the pricing and menu. Chips are additional cost although they have a salsa bar, I found that very interesting. Baja Jacks down the road has chips and salsa with the meals, and so does all Mexican food options in town- maybe that can be changed in the future. Overall, we will continue to come back for the lunch special.
Service was excellent! Were welcomed when we came in. We ordered to go and the team got it done in a timely matter. The food is also excellent, we wont have to drive far for mexican food anymore . New favorite spot!
Go now! We moved here from out of state and haven’t been impressed with the Mexican food here. I’ve been waiting for a place with a real grilled chicken burrito and this checked all the boxes. The food was amazing, fresh, and the team is so nice! They were fast and the place was so clean! So excited for my favorite new Mexican food spot!
