Pollos Asados al Carbon

Hands down the best street tacos I've ever had! They are affordable and just so delicious! My husband loves the avocado sauce they serve with them, too. We will be regulars now!

There are a couple reasons I’d recommend stopping here. For one, Pollos Asados al Carbon is one of, if not the only, place in town serving a tamal Oaxaqueño, a tamale with mole and steamed in a banana leaf, rather than wrapped in a corn husk. The second reason is the specialty tacos they serve. The taco pirata and the gringa are greasy, quesadilla-sized tacos filled with delicious meat and cheese, a testament to excess for when you want to treat yourself. The pollo al carbon the truck is named for isn’t so much delicious as it is a crazy amount of food for cheap, but the two reasons listed are enough to keep me coming back.

One of my new favorite taco trucks. They have a great 5 for $5 taco special, and their asada is always cooked very well. I'm also a big fan of their green sauce, it's a great part of the Kindle Whittier area, highly recommend.

Excellent good very good portions for the price

This is a taco truck in the gravel parking lot behind a block of several businesses in an historic neighborhood. They have a metal carport with picnic tables for seating. They have a variety of things on the menu for very good prices but I never ever from the 5 tacos for $5. Usually, I get the barbacoa, but the pollo, and carne asada are good too. You can also get 5 and mix it up. They offer beverages, but I take my tacos and hit the bar across the parking lot for a cold Shiner Bock. There is also a Mexican bakery or a coffee shop nearby to find a beverage and enjoy your food.
