We stopped by Heirloom Brewery on a brewery tour by Pearl, and the Killer Whail was parked outside. Large group (8) and bought bbq, smoked sausage, curry baked beans, coleslaw and potato salad and shared it all. Perfect, perfect, perfect! Perfect symbiotic relationship: drunk people drinking more ber and delicious food. Can't say enough great things about the food!
As a native Texan, a cook, and a bbq enthusiast....I cannot recommend this place enough. The sheer amount of food is staggering firstly, and the flavors and obvious care put into it all is on another level. Might be the best bbq I've had in Tulsa.
What in the name of Zeus’s beard did I just eat!?!THE BEST FOOD IN TULSA!! Brisket melts in your mouth and the sausage is perfect. The baked beans are one of a kind too. If you are craving great food then track them down and feast!!
If you love Texas style BBQ, you've got to try Killer Wail BBQ! The brisket and ribs are to die for and the sides are a fresh twist on the standard fare. Check out the Takeover Kitchen schedule at the Mother Road Market and plan on being there the next time Killer Wail BBQ is!
Whew. Actually figuring out where and when this place is open is a bit of work, and their website needs some help, but the BBQ is amazing. This is the most authentic Texas style brisket in Tulsa, and the chicken was fantastic as well. They do have a few unique takes on their sides and sauces, and I especially enjoyed their white sauce. This place is definitely worth tracking down, but you'll probably need to catch them early before they sell out of brisket.
