Had a messy, delicious, guacamole defender burger and I am content. The old English style pub transports you into another world. Don't forget to get your passport stamped, and if you aren't a cosmic tripster then you need to be! Cheers
Very relaxed environment. We had my 7 year old with us. It was not quite the environment for kids but it wasnt bad. The food was absolutely fantastic!! The mac n cheese is amazing, fries are so good. Cocktails were amazing. All around good service and worth every penny
I have been to many McMenamins and this is one of my favorites to hang out when I'm in Corvallis. The wait staff are very friendly and attentive. The food from the burgers to fish and chips are always cooked to perfection.
We used to love this place. The atmosphere is great. But the quality of the food has taken a nose dive over the last year or so. I used to love the appetizers, but they stopped offering a lot of them. The burgers are lower quality now, smaller and less flavorful, and the salads went from delicious and varied in ingredients to bland like they're from a bag and small portioned. I'm just giving it four stars for the ambience (I like sitting near the fireplace), and the beer. There are much better places for food just a few blocks away that also brew their own beers (Sky High, Block 15, Caves, etc.). The other McMenamins I visit in Portland and Eugene are still great, so I'm not sure why this particular location went down hill with the food.
The servers are attentive and friendly. I'm vegan, and they have some decent options. Be sure to reinforce that you're vegan and they can accommodate. I had the Bean and Seed. It is usually good, but you might want to clarify that they ensure the meat substitute is cooked. I had it one time where it was warm and soggy, but the next time I brought it up and they cooked it perfectly. Their vegan sliders use the same substitute, so diligence will be needed there as well. They have a vegan sauce for both, so that is nice. They have to substitute the bin for the sliders.
