The Cascade Dining Room

We got up early for the breakfast buffet, totally worth it! The pastrami hash was amazing, service was friendly and always kept our beverages full, and it was great to watch the sun rise over the mountain range. The atmosphere in the historic lodge was wonderful as well. Can't wait till our next trip to Mt. Hood so we can do it again!

I go to the fine dining every few months with a friend that loves good food and wine. The wine guy Clayton knows a lot and knows how to sell quality bottles rather than up selling just to make a bigger tip.
The food is usually good and the choices change seasonally.

The food was excellent, a bit pricey, but very good. The restaurant was at least 80 degrees (we were sweating, it was early August). Our waiter said he was going to bring us steak knives but did not, as a result he didn’t come back till we finished thus, losing the opportunity to get salt and pepper. Our table was tightly fit (a patron behind me bumped my chair with hers). My wife got a splinter when she tried to move her chair in by grasping it with her hands. 3 stars for the quality of the food, but the comfort level and service was less than expected for the pricey menu.
