Pizzeria sul Lago

One of the best pizzas we've had in Portland so far! I had the mushroom pizza and my husband had the Italian sausage. The crust was super thin and chewy, the tomato sauce had great flavor, and the wood fire added a hint of char and smoke. The two of us devoured our pies in no time. Afterwards, we shared a cannoli that my husband compared to the ones he's had in Boston. This has become our "night out" pizza place and we will definitely be back!

Great food, great service. I frequently order to go and seldom am I disappointed with the food. Occasionally, the pizza ordered might be a little on the sparse side with toppings. This establishment might not be for you if accustomed to, and expecting to eat pizza with, mega toppings on top. However, the pizza is delicious in its own right. The meatball sandwich is my absolute favorite!

This restaurant is absolutely one of the coolest place in the area. Every time I come there I am very pleased. They manage their very high standard service and the topmost level of cooking they serve. You always win with this place. Warmly recommended.

I had one of the best lunch experiences I've had in quite some time yesterday. I heard they have tomato soup so I had to go in and give it a try. I was hoping to find a grilled cheese sandwich on the menu (I was looking for a little comfort food ????) I was the first person in the restaurant at 11:30 a.m. and unfortunately I didn't see a grilled cheese, however the chef overheard me asking about it and without hesitation said "we'll make you a grilled cheese." - now we get to the good part... This was the best grilled cheese sandwich I have had in my life and I consider myself a connoisseur! It was made with pizza bread and in combination with the amazing tomato soup, this is my go-to recommendation for someone seeking a fantastic comfort lunch with a friendly staff. I hope to see that on the menu soon :-)
