Buoy 9 Restaurant & Lounge

Nice little neighborhood bar. Beer was cold, and the clam chowder was great. Service was top notch. Had the halibut and fry basket, and the wife had the fried oysters and fries. Both meals were perfect, and the fries were hot and fresh.

Ordered a bucket of steamer clams to start. They arrived and were not fully cooked. Waitress told us she thought they appeared uncooked, she took them off the bill. The meatloaf sandwich was really good and the prime rib dip was good. Was really looking forward to their steamers though.

Quick and friendly service. The halibut fish and chips was perfectly done. Fried fast and hot like it's supposed to be. the fish was very moist but not greasy. The slaw was also very tasty.

We love Buoy 9 and recommend it regularly when people ask (we’re park hosts at Fort Stevens). In fact, we’re on our way there for dinner this evening. The food is delicious, the service is fantastic, and we’ve made some good friends there.

Nice cozy atmosphere, not loud. Fast service, delicious food. Great halibut & fries, coleslaw and really tasty bread. I've tasted much better clam chowder, this was more like bacon potato soup, but still 5 stars overall. The batter on the halibut and shrimp held a lot of oil, but delicious.
