Big, clean rooms. They welcome pets, but charge extra. Also, they didn't note that we were bringing pets when we mentioned it when we made the reservations and had to tell them again when we checked in. Luckily, they weren't that booked and we got a ground floor room, because lugging all our luggage, kennels and the pets up to the 2nd or 3rd floor would have sucked. But it all worked out this time.
The hotel is a bit dated and could use some freshening up. Some new paint and such could go a long way to make this a 5 star hotel.
It was efficient. I'll say that much. I should have stolen more food at the continental breakfast.
The room is very good, spacious and clean. But I have to say that they have a very bad breakfast. Less then basic in my parameters. Just coffee, bagels, muffins, gravy. The orange juice machine was not working. The waffle machine was not working well.
This is not a high end or national chain. And this was my first experience with them. So your front desk person might have tattoos, or wear a baseball cap. Or be clean cut with a golf shirt. BUT, all were super friendly, competent to fix any problem or answer a question and flexible. Again. This is my only experience. The room was updated and super clean and very quiet. I came for a sports fishing trip and it was very convenient. If you want a good local brew and dinner go to Astoria. If you want crowds and Disney-esque ugly tourists go to Seaside. This hotel is good and budget friendly.
Decent place, close enough to the docks. Rooms were clean, but dated. Bed was comfy. Staff was friendly, but not the most knowledgeable about the area. Complimentary breakfast was a great "perk". Pool/hot tub/spa open later hours, which worked perfect for an after work arrival.
