This little gem of a restaurant was quite a surprise on our beach road trip. Seriously amazing food. Great attention to detail. Fresh and delicious plates. Friendly service.

One of the nicest families to ever run a business. We have watched this place evolve into one of the finest Mexican restaurants in the area. Fresh, quality ingredients prepared with attention to detail and flavour. Unique menu items that are nothing like the Tex-Mex offerings of most Americanized eateries. Great margaritas as well.

People this is the best restaurant I have been to in awhile. The food is fresh , the prices are really good . This family knows how to prepare food . They are friendly and they even have had live music playing. I have sent a lot of friends here and they have all told me how good this is . Thank you El Catrin family for putting in so much hard work for our enjoyment .!!!!

Great service and great food! My Wife and I have sampled 3 local Mexican restaurants and El Catrin is the most authentic of the 3!
They have recently expanded and the ambiance is classier but the personal sense of service faded a bit. Not a huge disappointment as what was lost has been made up for in presentation, taste, and surroundings. When in the mood for true Mexican cuisine, El Catrin will be our choice unless proven otherwise!

The Perez family truly lives by the motto, “when you’re here, you’re home.” This restaurant is THE BEST restaurant on the coast. From the chips and three different salsas, amazing margaritas, to the tortilla soup, enchiladas, fajitas and everything in between and ending with dessert, everything is fresh, made to order and handmade. What really sets this restaurant apart are the people who have poured their heart and souls into their food and ensuring each customer feels like family. This family run business has stolen a piece of my heart ( and belly!). We love the food almost as much as the entire Perez family. This is a MUST stop restaurant—guaranteed you won’t be disappointed
