We both had the special, something I have always wanted to try since watching the Great British Bake-off: roast beef pasty with mash and gravy. It was delicious! And the service was quick and cheerful. Definitely will be back! (we are teetotallers so I can't speak for the pub offerings, but I'm sure they are great...there were a LOT 😉)
Loved The Service & the Cheerful atmosphere At The Quaint little pub. Don’t pass up this Location. The Chicken Pot Pie is Amazing! As well as the Bangers & Mash, Shepards Pie is a true comfort food on a Coastal windy day. Great drink Menu.
Best of Bandon! Very traditional Irish pub. Guinness on draft! And everything else you expect in an Irish pub. Good was great. Service was very personable, polite and efficient. Not sure why hours are list as closing at 7pm - they are open later.
Great friendly service. Clean and decorated authentically. Not busy so it was very quiet. Ordered the chowder which was very good and had the shepherds pie as the main course which, imo was mediocre at best. Hard to find the veggies, more like a hamburger gravy as the base instead of a lamb/beef roast mix. Servings are small and it was served without soda bread. An Irish must. Don’t order a drink. A pint of harp and a pint of cider was over $9 each. Maybe the norm for here, but, so far, no where else we have travelled. And we always go to Irish pubs as we travel.
Staff hustled to serve a party of nine outside on a sunny slightly windy day. We had scotch eggs, fried pickles, and calamari for starters. All recommended. Clam chowder was delicious, lots of bacon. Bangers and mash were great, nice salads and burgers.
