Tumalo Feed Co. Steakhouse

Good steak. Always a little understaffed, so long wait times. They make up for it with atmosphere and consistency of good food. Kitschy but fun. Great locals joint.

So, lets start with the good. The onion ring bucket was very tasty, the batter they are fried in was great, especially with the salsa. The lobster tail was good quality, tho seemd on the smaller side. The ribeye was very tender. Now, to why I left a 3 star rating. The service was atrocious... I tried talking to my server and got ignored when he dropped off our appetizer. My food was only kinda warm by the time it made it out 30 minutes after we ordered. And its not because they were busy, there were only three other groups in my section. My tea tasted completely rotted, the garlic bread was like a mushy butter toast with very little flavor, and the mashed potatoes were incredibly bland. The margarita was served in a small glass and was not up to par either. Overall I would have to say the food was not worth the premium price we paid and there are many better options for your money around Bend, Redmond, and Sisters.

Lived here 15 years and never had been. We like less expensive restaurants and I'm vegetarian.

Hubby got steak and shrimp and said it was the best steak he's ever had. Shrimp was very good too.

Now, I get irked when people review and say it's the best xxxx ever! Queue eye rolling. But he did think so, and said that "it was so worth $45", which are words never uttered before.

We will be back.

I got the too expensive big salad with the chicken on the side. It was also very very good and the spicy ranch dressing was incredible. They should bottle it.

My family and I were just passing through on our way to Portland and we were told by a few different locals to try out Tumalo Feed Company on our way out of town. Let me say, I had never heard of it before coming to town so I had no expectations. When we pulled into the parking lot I was a little worried because it was PACKED! We actually ended up having to park on a back street and walking down which is not a big deal at all. I highly expected the wait to be at least an hour judging by the parking lot but was seated right away. The building itself is massive! At least two or three dining rooms and an awesome bar or saloon as they call it! We had the nicest waitress and the food came out incredibly fast. Everything on the menu looked delicious but everyone at my table ended up getting steaks, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Everything was perfectly cooked and the amount of food you get for the price is well worth it! You get to choose two different sides with any entree so we all ended up with leftovers for the long ride home. I was told by a few people to try this place out but had no idea it would become a new destination! We are coming back through town next month and will definitely be stopping back in.

So sad. :( this place used to be amazing but to order takeout they charge your card and then 20 minutes later send a text message that they can't fulfill your order. Probably better after reading the most recent reviews. Used to be our goto for getting out and enjoying delis food and amazing service!we will still try em cause this is such a stressful time...just hope it will deliver in quality..
